Retail shoppers often face a myriad of products that are screaming for attention yet looking very similar. This leaves the consumer confused and disengaged. We designed the Samsung Showcase to ease the shopping experience by offering a one-stop interactive panel to showcase the products in an engaging way. The interactive experience is created by an interplay of multiple large format displays, sensors and software.
Lipton offers a wide range of tea but consumers tend to pick the tried and tested ones. We decided to enliven the shopping experience by offering a fun way to recommend products. Through the use of face tracking technology, the dispenser detect the expression of the user and dispenses the aroma of different tea bags. A custom Android app was developed, with face tracking technology and hardware integration to dispense smell. Arduino and bluetooth integration were also explored.
Samsung SmartThings is an automation solution for smart homes. By partnering with various third-party device makers, the SmartThings hub is able to connect all your different smart locks, lights, outlets and more. However with all the devices out there, it can be complex to figure out how everything fits together. Launched in Comex 2018, the Connect Home retail solution simulates a smart home, user can tap on the app to see how the connected devices enhance your life. The Connect Home solution went on to be installed in various Samsung stores.
Ready To Travel is a convenient one-stop travel concierge to assist travelling – a priority among millenials who are well-positioned to disrupt the industry. It offers a variety of services like WiFi rental, travel insurance, customised itineraries, flight information and travel advices. The website is developed in React and fully responsive.
Christmas from the Heart is a campaign by Food from the Heart, a non-profit charity organization that aims to re-channel unsold bread and non-perishable items to the underprivileged. The sending of Christmas greetings is a yearly ritual practiced by many so what better way to celebrate if you can also do good in the process? Users can make a donation through predesigned cards or by customising one. The microsite is a single-page website that is custom integrated with the new WordPress REST API + WooCommerce platform and optimised with memcached.
Yeosu World Expo was an international exposition held in Yeosu, Korea. Singapore, under the theme of Paradox-ity: City of Contrast, sought to convey how it balances growth and development with environmental sustainability, including waste management, conservation of nature, urban planning and water management. The Singapore pavilion was awarded the Best Activity/Interactivity award by the US-based Exhibitor Magazine. Within the PLAY Box is an interactive kite flying experience where visitors get to steer a Korean and a Singaporean kite among others at the scenic Marina Barrage rooftop garden. In the CONSERVE box, visitors get to pedal a real bicycle through the civic district.
FastFast is a tech startup offering courier services that aims to connect customers to on-demand drivers and riders. When a customer makes a delivery request, the platform uses geo-location to send the request to the nearest FastFast riders or drivers. They can accept the job and the customer can track the progress of the delivery. With that in mind, the website leverages the latest frontend technologies to deliver a single-page website that runs quickly and fuss-free.
